Pain: Part 4: What’s in a word?

If I said to you, "your spine is crooked" or "you have degenerative changes" What would you think? How would you interpret it? Although you may not think it the power of a word can have a significant impact on your pain experience. Part 4 of my pain series looks at the use of metaphors and language and how they can affect our beliefs and behaviors.
