31 days project: Day 8

Day 8 of the 31 days project – pain in a dream state

Today another clip from inception and a reference to pain being an output of the brain. I worry a wee bit about this as the language could suggest that pain is all in your head. None the less a pain reference. This clip sees Cobb and Arthur being apprehended by Mol. This highlights that although they are in a dream state pain is in the mind and as pain is 100% produced by the brain it can be experienced. Thus based on our experiences and our emotional system we are able to experience pain in dreams (reference). Mind blown!!! Although in the movie they are in someone else’s dream and they are manipulating their dream it is still governed by rules those being our beliefs and experiences.  If you watch the whole Movie you notice that aspects of Cobbs mind continue to show up because of the memories he has stored. Arrgh I have too much time on my hands!
